Summer Reading Club

What is the Summer Reading Club?

The Summer Reading Club is an annual program in July & August held at the library. Studies show that kids experience learning loss over the summer months, and summer reading programs are a proven tool to help bridge the summer gap between school years and to maintain academic achievement. Our program is open to readers of all ages, from kids to seniors.

For every hour read, registrants will earn an entry towards the weekly prize in their age category. (Stay tuned to our social media to see what prizes are up for grabs each week!) You can also earn extra entries by participating in programming at the library, and by completing the activity of the week on Beanstack.

How do I sign up?

Signing up for the program is simple! Click here to register! Just by signing up, you'll be automatically entered to win the grand prize in your age group. After registration, you'll get the secret code to enter on Beanstack. Learn more about Beansatck here, then enter the challenge code to find the Hinton Municipal Library Summer Reading Challenge! After that, you can log your reading daily to be entered into the weekly draw.

Weekly Program Schedule:

Tuesdays: Strange Science

Try your hand at strange science experiments at the library at 4:00 pm!

Wednesdays: Let's Get Artsy

Join us at 6:00 pm for arts and crafts, perfect for all ages and skill levels!

Thursdays: Museum Mysteries

Fridays: Jeopardy!

Saturdays: Outdoor Adventures

Meet us at Gordon Moore Park (beside the spray park) at 1:00 pm to see what adventures we might embark on together!
