Reopening Plan

Hinton Municipal Library is currently on Phase 5 of the Relaunch Transition Plan.

We are now offering children's toys, more seating, video game bookings, and kit borrowing in the library. We have also returned to in-person programming - there will be updates regarding the new provincial restrictions as of September 20th, 2021. Take a look at our Program Guide to see what's coming up. Masks are mandatory at this time and we ask that everyone maintains their distance while using the library.

Restrictions Exemption Program

The library will not be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program - you do not need to provide proof of vaccination in order to come into the library. Masks and physical distancing are still required, though, and our capacity is reduced. Because the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre is opting into the Restrictions Exemption Program, the door between the library and the recreation center will be closed again. Stay tuned for updates regarding our programming. Thank you all for your patience and we look forward to seeing you soon!
